Indian Association of Clinical Cardiology Kerala | Cardiozone 2015 was held in Kozhikode, Kerala on 25th and 26th July 2015. The meeting brought together Interventional Cardiologists, Clinical Cardiologists, General Physicians, and medical students from across India for professional interaction and discussion on developments in cardiac care.
Vaso Meditech Pvt Ltd, the exclusive distributor and clinical support provider for EECP in India, participated in the event and contributed to awareness about Enhanced External Counter Pulsation Therapy among healthcare professionals attending the conference.
The event provided an opportunity to introduce and discuss the role of Enhanced External Counter Pulsation Therapy as a non invasive cardiac treatment for suitable patients. EECP supports blood circulation toward the heart through synchronized external compression of the lower limbs and may encourage collateral circulation, commonly described as a natural bypass.
The participation of Vaso Meditech at Cardiozone 2015 reflected its continued efforts to promote awareness of EECP among cardiologists and medical professionals. For selected patients with coronary artery disease, treatment heart blockage without surgery may be considered as part of a medically supervised treatment plan, depending on individual clinical evaluation.
EECP THERAPY uses a proprietary technology to inflate and deflate a series of pneumatic cuffs enclosing the lower extremities of the patients. Treatment is administered on a padded table in which three sets of electronically controlled inflation and deflation valves are located.
