Dr.S.Ramasamy EECP International Expert and Vaso-Meditech Project director for the TamilNadu Government EECP Public Private Partnership program delivered the talk on the “ Role of Enhanced External Counter Pulsation Treatment in Clinical Cardiology. The lecture covered the basic of cardiac disease, Mechanism of action of EECP, Patient selection, Guideline recommendations and treatment outcome in Angina and Heart Failure.
EECP THERAPY uses a proprietary technology to inflate and deflate a series of pneumatic cuffs enclosing the lower extremities of the patients. Treatment is administered on a padded table in which three sets of electronically controlled inflation and deflation valves are located.
