Honorable Chief Minister of TamilNadu J.Jayalalitha inaugurated Enhanced External Counter Pulsation through Video conferencing on 08-09-2015. The treatment will be available to cardiac patient through Chief Minister Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme. Prof Dr. Palaniswamy presented Enhanced External Counter Pulsation treatment in clinical cardiology and Dr.S.Ramasamy presented EECP current status and recommendation.
EECP THERAPY uses a proprietary technology to inflate and deflate a series of pneumatic cuffs enclosing the lower extremities of the patients. Treatment is administered on a padded table in which three sets of electronically controlled inflation and deflation valves are located.
