Heal your Heart conducted Medical Camp in Airport Authority of India, Meenambakkam, Chennai.

Airport Authority of India, Chennai Kalyanmayee, Southern regional zones arranged a cardiac care awareness program to their employees. They invited Heal your Heart- Vaso-meditech to have a Medical camp and cardiac disease awareness talk on 25th September 2019. The main camp objective was to provide non-surgical treatment information, and to enhance patients knowledge on current treatment modality called Heal your Heart Enhanced External Counter Pulsation treatment (EECP).

All the camp subjects were given a Sphygmocor diagnostic test, which helps to know the central arterial pressure of the Heart and arterial stiffness. This helps the physicians to assess their future cardiac risk and advice lifestyle changes or prescribe necessary medications if required.

Dr. S.Ramasamy, President of International Cardiology EECP/ECP Society (ICES) and non-invasive cardiology expert and his medical team comprised of Dr.Sivaram kumar, Dr. Santhosh and Dr. Gowtham and clinical nurses and technicians visited Airport office, Chennai. He delivered a clinical presentation on EECP treatment – a new option to non-invasively manage coronary heart disease and heart failure patients. Around a hundred people of that Chennai zone of airport authority attended the awareness talk and the camp with great enthusiasm

Dr .S.Ramasamy has explained

• About the risk factors like Hypertension, Hypercholesterolemia, Diabetes, Obesity, and lack of exercise which predispose the patients to heart disease.
• How to diagnose cardiac disease with investigations like ECG, ECHO, BLOOD tests-Cardiac markers/Angiogram if necessary
• Management of Cardiac disease mainly Non-invasive treatment- EECP, its indications, and advantages.
• How EECP treatment is a safe, daycare procedure, which can able to increase your heart blood supply without surgery and angioplasty.
• Sphygmocor test which helps to study Central Arterial Pressure and Arterial stiffness.

 Dr. S. Ramasamy has answered to airport employees queries about cardiac problems and its management. They have impressed by knowing about Daycare, outpatient procedure for chest pain & shortness of breath - EECP treatment in which blood flow in heart muscle would get improved.

Mrs. Sathyabama, a health consultant, organized and co-ordinated the program. Smt. Madhulika Mani Das, DGM (HR) and Sri A.M.Kandan, AGM (HR) AirPort authority India Chennai Kalyanmayee, Southern Regional zone inaugurated the awareness program.
