Chennai, India- Feb 27th 2014: International EECP therapist Association (IETA), International Medical Director Dr.S.Ramasamy launches the first EECP patient awareness program in TamilNadu Government Medical College Hospital in honor of the third annual EECP therapy week. The EECP treatment has been incorporated in to TamilNadu Government flagship program called Non-Invasive Ischemic Burden Reduction Program (NIBR-P). Currently this is the largest EECP center in India with five EECP systems with capacity of treating 45 patients per month.
EECP THERAPY uses a proprietary technology to inflate and deflate a series of pneumatic cuffs enclosing the lower extremities of the patients. Treatment is administered on a padded table in which three sets of electronically controlled inflation and deflation valves are located.
